Not only are they one of my favorite streaming services, but they are also quite affordable and Hulu offers different tiers to choose from such as, Basic, No Ads, Hulu + Live TV and No Ads + Live TV.
Apart from this, Hulu is also one of the few streaming platforms that offers a free trial with their streaming library and you can spend the next 30-days watching all their on-demand content for free. The only drawback is that with the free trial, viewers will not be able to access live TV content.

What is Hulu and How Much Does it Cost?
Hulu is an on-demand streaming service that has been around for over 10 years. They are one of the largest platforms in the US and currently have over 40 million subscribers and the only drawback is that their content has ads.
Hulu’s library consists of around over 2,500 movies and more than 40,000 episodes from thousands of TV shows as well as live TV channels.
Their subscription plans range from $6.99 and go all the way up to $75.99 and each tier has some benefits over the next.

How to Sign up for the Hulu Free Trial?
Signing up for the Hulu free trial is easy and doesn’t take more than 5-10 minutes. You can do this on your smartphone via the Hulu app or you can choose to sign up for the trial via their website.
To sign up for the Hulu free trial, you must first decide which of the two plans you’d like to select; Basic Hulu or Hulu (No Ads).
Unfortunately none of the other Hulu plans including the bundle plans come with a 30-day free trial.
Here’s how you sign up for a free trial with Hulu streaming library on the website:
- Open Hulu.com on your browser and click on the link – Sign up for Hulu Only
- Proceed to choose either Hulu Basic or Hulu (No Ads) from the list and then tap on Select at the bottom of the page
- Now enter your personal information such as
- Email address, Password, Name and Date of birth and then click on Continue
- On the next screen, enter your card information to confirm the subscription
- Note: While doing so, you will not be charged for the subscription and the amount will only get debited from your account after the 30-day trial
Once you’ve confirmed your subscription you will receive a confirmation email as well as immediate access to watch Hulu for the next 30 days at no charge.

How Does The Hulu Free Trial Compare to Other Platforms?
All things considered, Hulu is an amazing streaming platform and one of the few to offer a 30-day free trial.
Services like Netflix, HBO Max and even Disney Plus do not offer any free trial to test their platform and instead customers must pay upfront for their services and then cancel the subscription if they’re unhappy with all that’s offered.
Amazon Prime on the other hand is another streaming service that provides users with a free 30-day trial before purchasing a subscription and they also offer a vast collection of TV shows, movies, live TV and on-demand content.
However, if you do like Hulu originals then Prime will not satisfy your hunger and Hulu is the best way to go. Other platforms such as Youtube TV and FuboTV offer 14-day and 7-day trials respectively, which is good, but they lack on-demand libraries and this won’t sit well with everyone.
How to Subscribe to Hulu Once My Free Trial Expires?
Once your free trial expires, your card will automatically be charged in full for the cost of the subscription.
You will be able to upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan or purchase add-ons by accessing your Account Profile and modifying your Subscription details.
You can also choose to cancel your subscription before the trial expires and not get charged on your card.
If you are changing your payment information, then login to your account on Hulu and then tap on Account followed by Payment Information. Proceed to click on Update Payment and enter your new details and then save the page.
How to Cancel My Hulu Subscription?
You can cancel your Hulu trial and subscription without any charge if it’s done within the 30-day window.
While there’s no Cancel button on the home page, there is one in the Account Settings section which is easily accessible.
You can cancel your Hulu subscription by following these steps;
- Login to your registered Hulu account and tap on Settings
- Select Cancel My Subscription from the drop-down
- Enter the reason behind the cancellation and tap on Confirm Cancellation
If you do not cancel the subscription within the 30-day period, you will be charged in full for the following month’s subscription.
Is the Free Trial with Hulu Streaming Library Worth It?
When it comes to Hulu’s free trial, there are no real disadvantages. However, it would have been better if Hulu had included live TV in their trial
Due to the vast collection of TV shows and movies available on Hulu, it’s most likely that you’ll find something to enjoy and if you don’t wish to continue watching, simply cancel the subscription before the trial ends without any charge.
